Modified Mythology in Unity.

A Model and FX I created for a monthly challenge we had at work where the theme was Modified Mythology. So I decided to model Hades from Disneys Hercules. Took longer then expected and haven’t rigged or animated a character in a long time so that was fun! The tricky part was creating the shader for the cloth/hair and making it feel natural with the motion of the character. Could do with some improvements in some areas but think it works overall.

Destruction in Unity.

Unity scene I created for a monthly challenge we had at work where the theme was Kintsugi/Vintage. Wanted to create something more interactiable then my previous submissions. So I decided to do alot of destruction!

Split Landscape Scene in Unity.

• Colors of the base body can be adjusted.

• Masked areas controlled with sliders for when taking damage on each side (Left, Right, Back, and Overall).

• Using vertex offset to bulge the ship when taking damage, opening up some parts of the damaged areas of the ship and revealing a glowing edge which represents an auto repair function of the ship.

• Color of the damaged areas can be adjusted.

• Amount of boost and spotlight can be adjusted by a sliders.

• Colors of boost and spotlight can be adjusted.

• Custom made sprite sheets for the particle effects(Muzzle Flash, Explosions).

Retro Sci-Fi Shader in Unity.

• Three textures are used for the display(Layout, Texts and Human Figure)

• All texture channels(RGBA) are being used for individual purposes.

• Using Parallaxing on the Human Figure texture.

• All colors can be adjusted.

• Slider controlling the material from “Scanning” to “Warning”.

• Fully customizable skyshader for skydomes.

• Colors of the Clouds can be changed to the desired colors.

• Speed and Visibilty of rotating and panning Clouds can be adjusted.

• Colors of the Day/Night can be changed to the desired colors.

• Slider controlling day and night.

• Colors of the Sun/Moon can be changed to the desired colors.

• Position of the Sun/Moon can be adjusted with slider.

• Scaleable Stars.

Magic Spells In UDK.

• Created flipbooks(spritesheets) with Maya fluids to get a more realistic impacts and fire.

• Particle systems with embers, heatshimmer, smoke, and colission.

• Fire & Ice material.

• Ramp based texture transition.

• All transitions between textures are controlled using matinee and can easily be edited.

Electro Material In UDK.

• Distortion with a panning cloud texture.

• The glow and lightning amount can easily be edited.

• Mask texture which excludes the areas where the lighting should not affect, used it on the veins and some parts of the face.

• Ramp based texture transition.

• All transitions between textures are controlled using matinee and can easily be edited.

• Using vector parameters on transition colors which simplifies the effort of changing it to a desired color.
